Personal Statement

   It is extremely easy to be an asshole, believe me as I had no trouble in holding that title for some time.  On the other hand, once you decide that being an asshole isn't quite for you, the ladder you must climb to become accepted within the community and with your former friends is quite high.  Each rung you climb on the ladder must be earned.

    It is possible to wake up one day and realize your current position ( asshole, that is ) and decide that you no longer want to be what you once were.  It is impossible for others to accept this overnight miracle of yours, or mine.

    When you decide you are ready to the leap back into the real world, where others matter and your position is to fit in, take it slow, be honest and humble, understand when people want absolutely nothing to do with you.  Remember, you were always better than them.

    It is only through your actions ( and in some cases, lack of ) that they will see this overnight miracle.  For them though, it may take several months, if not years.

    Good luck !  As for me, I'm about on the third step of a very BIG ladder.
