This is a confirmed 911 tower location.  During inspection I found that 911 is
relying on the Verizon Telephone Company to relay tower communications as
evidence of T1 or possibly T3 service drops are seen.  I also found that there is
only one electrical power transformer on the pole right outside of the building,
911 might consider calling Allegheny Power and have them install another one
for backup in case this one gets hit by a lightning strike.
(I know this site has complete backup generators installed but two service entrances are better, NO backup phone lines.)
The last 911 system CRASH was due to a
T3 Line and several T1 lines being down after a lightning strike.
The strike took down several pieces of Equipment too.

The CRASH affected the area in the western half of
Westmoreland County, Pa.
