COMMUNICATIONS TOWER FOR THE
WESTMORELAND COUNTY
911 CENTER ON DONAHUE ROAD
The 911 Communication Center is located at the base of this antenna.

Site is also located on the Donahue Road between Latrobe and Greensburg, Pa.

Originally it was thought that putting the 911 center underground in a safe, secure bunker at a remote location with all the phone and electric lines buried and the antenna tower located elsewhere would make this county a much safer place and also provide a high level of security for the employees that work there.

Then someone at the top, most likely in the county commissioners office decided to use a building that is above ground with exposed phone and electric lines and a huge mother freggin' tower with a big bright freggin' flashing lights to tell terrorists and other assholes exactly where the building and all the employees are located.

THEN, INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE DAMN STRUCTURE ON MAPLE AVENUE OR BRAMMELL WAY, OR SOMETHING BLAND LIKE THAT, THEY GO AND NAME THE ROAD
" PUBLIC SAFETY ROAD " with the building number of " 911 ".
THAT REALLY HIDES EVERYTHING !

This goes to show you something about the mentality our Westmoreland County Commissioners have.  I'm sure they would have put the center at a shopping mall inside a food store next to the vegetables isle if that spot was available.

FYI, the Chairman of the 911 Committee is Commissioner Tom Balya.

Another smart decision was to install a Motorola Radio System that just about every major city in this country has BOUGHT THEN THROWN OUT as scrap, including one in our own state.

Tons of this Motorola Radio Equipment All Over The USA... BOUGHT, INSTALLED, and TOSSED LIKE A BAD LUNCH ! after causing injuries and deaths.

But hey, if it's good enough to cause deaths in other cities around the country then it's good enough to do the same here !
